AppDEIS Gaeltachta Scholarship Scheme
Meán Scoil Mhuire Longford is proud to participate in the DEIS Gaeltacht Scholarship Scheme, which provides valuable opportunities for students to attend approved Gaeltacht summer courses and develop their Irish language skills.
To date, our school has helped students access more than €13,000 in DEIS funding, supporting them in attending the Gaeltacht, improving their spoken Irish and developing greater confidence in using the language. These opportunities allow students to immerse themselves in Irish language and culture while making new friendships and enjoying the unique experience of the Gaeltacht.
The DEIS Gaeltacht Scholarship Scheme offers financial support to students attending approved Gaeltacht summer courses. The scheme is administered by Galway and Roscommon Education and Training Board (GRETB) and funded by the Department of Rural and Community Development and the Gaeltacht.
