Overview

At Meán Scoil Mhuire Longford, we believe that extra-curricular activities play an important role in school life, providing students with opportunities to explore their interests, discover new talents and develop skills beyond the classroom.

Our school offers a wide range of activities across sport, music, the arts, languages, technology and academic pursuits. Students can get involved in basketball, Gaelic football, soccer, rugby, athletics, camogie, swimming and equestrian activities, alongside clubs such as chess, robotics, journalism, music, art, craft, Spanish and our Maths Hub.

Participation in extra-curricular activities encourages teamwork, leadership, confidence, creativity and resilience. It also allows students to build friendships, develop a sense of belonging and represent their school with pride.

We encourage all students to get involved, try something new and make the most of the opportunities available to them throughout their time at Meán Scoil Mhuire.
