A reminder to parents and guardians that the Back to School Clothing and Footwear Allowance (BSCFA) is now open for applications and will remain open until 30 September 2026.
Payment Rates 2026:
€160 for eligible children aged 2–11 years
€285 for eligible children aged 12–22 years
Many families will receive the payment automatically and will be notified during June. If you are not notified by the end of June and believe you may qualify, you can apply online through MyWelfare.ie or by post.
Applications opened on 3 June 2026 and close on 30 September 2026.
