Lake Garda Tour – Day 1

An early start at Meán Scoil Mhuire this morning didn’t stop our students! Despite the tired eyes, they had a fantastic first day, making fantastic memories from the very beginning of the tour.

We visited the picturesque town of Sirmione, located on a peninsula on the southern shores of Lake Garda. We took a boat tour along the shores of Sirmione, enjoying panoramic views and learning about the history and features of the area, including the Grotte di Catullo – the largest Roman structure in northern Italy and Scaligero Castle with its medieval harbour.

We then explored the town, sampling Italian cuisine and gelato, before setting off for our accommodation for the evening.

A fantastic start to our Lake Garda tour!
