Anna Heussaff, Seachtain na Gaeilge

Ceardlann den scoth a bhí againn inniu nuair a thug an dara bliain cuairt ar an leabharlann chun bualadh le húdar a n-úrscéil, Anna Heussaff. Tá an t-úrscéal ‘Sárú’ ar chúrsa na Sraithe Sóisearaí. Labhair Anna faoina leabhair féin agus chaith sí tamall ag léamh as ‘Sárú,’ ag plé carachtair agus téamaí. Phléigh na scoláirí an difríocht idir leabhar a léamh agus físchluiche a imirt. Chum siad Dánta Lóchrainn freisin. Bhain na scoláirí an-taitneamh agus an-tairbhe as an gceardlann.

Second years enjoyed an excellent workshop today when they visited the library to meet with the author of their novel, Anna Hesssaff. The novel ‘Sárú’ is on the Junior Cycle course. Anna spoke about her many books agus then read from ‘Sárú,’ discussing the themes and characters. The students discussed the differences between reading a book and playing a video game. They also composed Lanter Poems. The students really enjoyed the workshop.
