1st Year Inter-class Debating Competition

Today the 1st yr English classes held a debate. A team from each class was put forward, having been selected through a first round process. The motion hotly debated today was: Ireland should ban social media access for children under 16. All teams performed well with 1B defeating the motion and 1C carrying the motion. Well done to all those that took part and we look forward to the final round of this competition next term, when 1B will face 1C for the title of 1st yr Debate Team 2026. Thank you to the first yr English teachers for preparing the students and to our adjudicator Ms Keogh.
