Leaving Certificate & Leaving Certificate Applied 2026 – Key Dates & Information

The State Examinations Commission confirmed that the Leaving Certificate and Leaving Certificate Applied Results will be released on Friday, 21st August 2026 at 10:00am via the Candidate Self Service Portal (CSSP).

Please see the attached images for important information and key dates relating to results, CAO offers, access to data, viewing scripts and the appeals process over the coming months.

We encourage all Leaving Certificate and Leaving Certificate Applied students and parents/guardians to save these dates for future reference.

Summer Programme 2026!

Our very successful Summer Programme concluded last Friday after a busy two weeks in Meán Scoil Mhuire.

Students from 1st to 5th Year actively and enthusiastically engaged in a range of activities and projects while developing key skills for life and for learning. Our ladies particularly loved cooking and cake decorating, their Numeracy Art classes, PE activities, Dance and of course our annual trip to The Attic. In fact, it was often hard to tear them away from one activity so the next could begin – a sure sign they were enjoying their time on our Summer Programme!

Parents were also invited in on Friday for afternoon tea which was prepared by our students. While here, parents had an opportunity to explore all of the learning their daughter engaged in over the course of the two weeks before our annual awards ceremony.

A huge well done to all of our ladies who participated so eagerly and energetically over these past two weeks. We are very proud of you.

Finally, a huge thank you to all of the staff involved in our Summer Programme. Without our fantastic staff we simply could not run such a successful programme.

State Examinations 2026 Complete!

And that’s a wrap!

Today marks the official end of the 2026 State Examinations in our school.

Over the past number of weeks, our students have shown tremendous commitment, resilience and determination as they completed their exams. We are incredibly proud of the effort, dedication and positive attitude they have demonstrated throughout the examination period.

A special thank you to our Examination Aides, Ms. Hughes and Mr. Bennett, for their hard work and support throughout the State Examinations in ensuring the smooth running of the exams.

We would also like to thank our staff, parents, guardians and the wider school community for their continued support and encouragement throughout the year.

Now, the time has come to take a well-earned break, enjoy the summer and celebrate this important milestone with family and friends.

We wish all of our exam students every success in the future and look forward to celebrating their achievements when results are released in the months ahead.

Key CAO, HEAR/DARE & SUSI Dates – June & July 2026

The coming weeks are an important time in the CAO and SUSI application process for our Leaving Certificate students. As many of our Leaving Cert students enter the home stretch of their State Examinations, we encourage all students and parents/guardians to carefully review the upcoming deadlines and ensure that any required actions are completed on time.

Please take note of the following key dates:

23 June 2026

Students who applied to HEAR/DARE will be notified of their application outcome.

1 July 2026 (5:00pm)

The CAO Change of Mind facility closes. Applicants can add, remove or reorder course choices free of charge up until this deadline.

2 July 2026

Closing date for HEAR/DARE Reviews and Appeals.

9 July 2026

Priority closing date for new SUSI grant applications.

Remember:

• You do not need your Leaving Certificate results to apply for SUSI.

• You do not need to have accepted a course offer.

• You can update your course choice online at a later date if necessary.

This applies to students considering further or higher education next year.

Back to School Clothing & Footwear Allowance 2026

A reminder to parents and guardians that the Back to School Clothing and Footwear Allowance (BSCFA) is now open for applications and will remain open until 30 September 2026.

Payment Rates 2026:

€160 for eligible children aged 2–11 years

€285 for eligible children aged 12–22 years

Many families will receive the payment automatically and will be notified during June. If you are not notified by the end of June and believe you may qualify, you can apply online through MyWelfare.ie or by post.

Applications opened on 3 June 2026 and close on 30 September 2026.

School’s Out for Summer!

As another school year comes to a close, we would like to thank all of our students, staff, parents, guardians and the wider school community for another memorable year in Meán Scoil Mhuire.

Over the past year, our students have embraced every opportunity available to them, both inside and outside the classroom. From academic achievements and sporting successes to school trips, cultural events, competitions, performances, leadership initiatives and community involvement, it has been a year full of memorable moments and outstanding accomplishments.

Our 1st Year, 2nd Year, 5th Year and LCA 1 students have completed their Summer Exams, and we congratulate them on all of their hard work and efforts throughout the year.

A special word of encouragement goes to our Junior Cycle, Leaving Certificate and LCA students as they begin their State Examinations next week. We wish each of you the very best of luck and every success in the weeks ahead.

We are especially grateful for the continued support and commitment of our staff, parents, guardians, Board of Management and Parents’ Association throughout the year.

Now it’s time for a well-deserved break. We hope everyone enjoys a safe, relaxing and enjoyable summer, and we look forward to welcoming you all back in August.
