Today we celebrated World Book Day in the school, where our English department put together a fantastic series of events to mark the occasion. First they asked students and staff to dress up as a character from a form of fiction, we also had our annual 'guess what teacher is reading the book' competition, and we also ran 'DEAR' (drop everything and read) during our second class period, finally, a quiz was held at lunch for 1st, 2nd and 3rd years.
What a fantastic and busy day, a huge thanks to the English department and all who got involved.
Have a look at some of our junior cycle students on World Book Day! Costumes ranged this year from Penny-wise to Little Red Riding Hood! Always proud of our students who make the effort to celebrate all things books! Also, in our gallery you will just one room of students participating in our World Book Day Lunch Quiz organised by Ms Kilcline and her TY English class, absolutely jam packed! Results will be announced shortly!!!
