GOING FOR A MUCKY SPIN
Our fourth group of TY students got behind the wheels at Pearse Park on Tuesday with the help of Gills’ driving instructors, who generously came down from Ballina in Co. Mayo. The girls thoroughly enjoyed this experience as they were going “90” (just kidding).Thankfully everyone came back in one piece.
Excellent Enterprise Encouragement
If you have a brilliant idea and are looking to become an entrepreneur, who would you go to for advice? How about Martina Glennon a professional event manager at Optimum Events? TY students were fortunate enough to receive the advice and wise words of Martina for their TY mini business projects. We are really looking forward to becoming young entrepreneurs in the near future. Student Enterprise Awards await.
One small step for TY students, One GIANT step into the real world
TY students will be taking over Longford’s businesses, schools, shops and pharmacies as they leave their busy school schedules for work experience. The students are ecstatic to be leaving school for two whole weeks. The girls will surely be missed. J
