What a busy few days we have had at Meán Scoil Mhuire. On Monday and Tuesday, the whole school body was working overtime to get the school prepared for Open Evening on Tuesday, decorating various rooms, preparing speeches, tour routes, hospitality, etc. It was a monumental effort from students and staff and a huge well done is deserved.
On Wednesday, Minister of Education, Norma Foley visited the school whilst she was in Longford for the day. She met with student council members, our prefects, staff, members of Longford Slasher's intermediate team and also spoke to our 5th and 6th year students in the gym. The day was a fantastic success and Minister Foley congratulated both staff and students on the fantastic work being carried out in both curricular and extra curricular.
