Transition Year Drama Competition

Good luck to the TY drama class who will be participating in the preliminary round of The Transition Year Drama Competition in Mullingar on Monday the 28th of January. Thank you to Ms O Brien for all her hard work. Break a leg girls!

Junk Kouture

TY students are busy with last minute preparations for their photo shoot with Shelley Corcoran on Thursday. We have four fantastic entries this year entitled: ‘In the Limelight’, ‘Life’s a Beach’, ‘Exceleration’ and ‘Brick by Brick’. We wish Ms Monaghan and her four teams the best of luck and voting details will follow.

Concern Debating

Our Senior Concern Team will debate against Lanesboro Community School on Thursday the 27th of January. The motion is “The United Nations has become irrelevant” and we will oppose this motion. We wish Ms Kilcline and her team the best of luck!

Junior Basketball

Best of luck to the Junior Basketball team in their match on Wednesday the 16th of January against Ballymahon.

TY Ball

A TY ball organised by Foróige is being held on the 15th of February in the Rugby Club. The funds raised are to aid the building of a bus shelter outside the Attic House. Tickets are €25 and all TYs are welcome.

Alpha Programme

Thank you to Fr. Michael McGrath, Catherine and Mary for conducting the Alpha programme with all the TYs. We really enjoyed learning more about Christianity and deepening our faith.

Panto tickets:

We are eagerly looking forward to the annual Backstage Theatre panto ‘The Lost Princesses’. Opening night is Friday the 25th of January. Tickets are €12 and many of our students are busy rehearsing for what promises to be an excellent event!

Baby Programme

Last week the TYs started the practical party of their Baby Development Programme and will soon have to take care of their own electronic baby. May the odds be ever in your favour...

Judo/Photography:

This week the two TY classes are swapping from Judo to Photography. Thanks to Sean Lucky and Shelley Corcoran for devoting their time and patience to teaching us judo and photography.
